SUMMER COMMUNITY PROGRAMS DIRECTOR

The Summer Community Programs Director is an 8-week position funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program.  Potential employees must be between age 15 and 30.  The position is for 35 hours per week position and will work closely with the Minister, Director of Music & Administration, Program Director for Children and Youth and one other summer student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing, maintaining, administering, and promoting various programs for all ages, including Vacation Bible School and other Morning Summer Programs.

  • Assisting the Director of Music & Administration in cataloguing Music Library and creating a library of PowerPoint slides

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Canva, Social Media

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Well organized and able to manage time

  • Experience working independently and with a team

  • A heart and mind for working with children is necessary

  • Criminal Record & Vulnerable sector check on hire, as applicable

 

Salary: $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week for 8 weeks

SUMMER CHURCH COMMUNITY ASSISTANT
(NB SEED Program)

The Summer Church Community Assistant is funded by the NB SEED program for up to 12 weeks.  Potential employees must be a full-time student in high school or post-secondary and planning to return to full-time studies (high school or post-secondary) in September.  The position is for 35 hours per week position and will work closely with the Minister, Director of Music & Administration, Program Director for Children and Youth, Property & Maintenance Committee, and one other summer student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a leader for all summer programming and community events.

  • Develop promotional material to advertise the summer programs.

  • Be involved in community events

  • Lead programs to help us to foster stronger relationships with the community, particularly in the areas of children, youth and senior adults.

  • Assist with planning and preparations for fall programs.

  • Assist with organization, management, and set-up of learning and program storage spaces.

  • Assist with ensuring the outward appearance of the property is well maintained (e.g. lawn care, gardening, painting, etc.)

  • Other duties as may be assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Canva, Social Media

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Interest in outdoors, including experience mowing lawns and working with garden spaces

  • Well organized and able to manage time

  • Experience working independently and with a team

  • A heart and mind for working with children is necessary

  • Criminal Record & Vulnerable sector check on hire, as applicable

 

Salary: $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week for 8 weeks
